-Implementing Dedicated Video and Rich Media Networks to Optimise Network Efficiency and Improve QoS-

Solaris Mobile today delivers a presentation as part of the 2011 Mobile Broadband World Conference in Berlin. The event which brings together the industry’s thought-leaders focuses on driving the Mobile Broadband ecosystem.

Solaris Mobile’s presentation to the conference which is entitled ‘Implementing Dedicated Video and Rich Media Networks to Optimise Network Efficiency and Improve QoS’ will focus on the following key points:

• How streaming video can be optimised to reduce unnecessary strain on the network
• Integrating third-party hardware, software, and services to allocate network capacity
• Reducing cost and complexity of network deployment
• The ability to create opportunities for service differentiation

Solaris Mobile has the rights to guaranteed and unutilised (extended UMTS) spectrum in all 27 EU Member States which combined with broadcast and satellite coverage delivers a formidable solution to the mobile video problem.  “Demand for video broadcasting is increasing exponentially, but existing one-to-one technologies alone will never be sufficient to deliver a satisfactory consumer experience that is chargeable.   Solaris Mobile puts forward the case that there exists a need for different network architecture, combining broadcast and on-demand services, dedicated and optimised for video”, commented Benoit Denis, Director Business Development, Solaris Mobile.
